Christian James Koehler was born on February 5, 1999. Christian was a healthy 9 year old boy who lived in East Islip, NY and was an avid lacrosse and football player. In May of 2008, he was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma brain tumor. He immediately started chemotherapy and was treated at Cornell to remove the brain tumor. Christian wa
Christian James Koehler was born on February 5, 1999. Christian was a healthy 9 year old boy who lived in East Islip, NY and was an avid lacrosse and football player. In May of 2008, he was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma brain tumor. He immediately started chemotherapy and was treated at Cornell to remove the brain tumor. Christian was an amazing boy who always had a smile on his face throughout his treatment. After a long and courageous battle, Christian passed away on May 29, 2009. He is survived by his loving parents, Janine & Chris and his siblings, Allison, Anthony and Victoria.

In his memory, our family has created the Christian Koehler Foundation. The organization is a 501(c) (3) (EIN 32-0358089) and is a proud sponsor of Make-A-Wish Foundation, Leukemia & Lymphoma Foundation and The Children's Brain Tumor Project. The organization also assists local families who have been affected by pediatric cancer.
Tournament
About our Foundation
Tournament
The family & friends host an annual lacrosse tournament in Suffolk County, Long Island, NY. The tournament is comprised of boys and girls grades 2 through 8.
